I absolutely love Fall and enjoy the warmth and coziness (cozy blankets and Netflix) of the season. As you can imagine, I am also very excited about switching up my wardrobe and have started planning a few Fall looks. Today I am sharing with you a few ways I will be incorporating fall colors into my daily makeup routine!
CHEEKS #1 e.l.f Monochromatic Multi-Stick $4.00 for .05oz
The e.l.f multi-stick comes in a variety of colors. Glistening Peach is a soft nude color that gives a really subtle glow. Sparkling Rose is a slightly darker color, perfect for a touch of color just above the cheek bones. But don't stop there, these cute little sticks are formulated to work on lips and eyes too. The formula blurs the appearance of pores, texture, and fine lines!
For those of you who are used to wearing a full face of makeup, I also think this is a great product for your casual, weekend look when going to brunch or doing casual Saturday errands. It makes a statement while still remaining very laid back.
This Nudestix blush & bronze in Deep Maple is such a bold look. I can't wait to use this for date nights and events this Fall and winter. In my opinion, this color is like if you took brick red and flipped the ratios. It's the subtle red that keeps this product looking like a blush and not a contour in the wrong area.
Generally speaking, the Nudestix blush and bronze formula is sturdy! It really has a lot of lasting power, which is especially beneficial to those of you with oilier skin and is an overall 10/10.
LIPS #1 Julep 2 in 1 Lip Balm - Brandy Wine is a go-to for me.
Formulated with Sunflower Butter, Vitamin E, and extra-finely milled pigments, this natural lip balm delivers on color and healthy hydration. The Sunflower Butter is high in antioxidants and Omega-6 fatty acids, locking in moisture for hours. Meanwhile, the Vitamin E core protects against dehydration and free radical damage. Burgundy lipsticks are trending for this Fall (pending COVID) because I think we are all really missing lipstick and are ready to break out some bold lip looks, 'maturely modified' that is.
Makeup Over 40 Tip: If a lipstick color seems TOO bold at first, try this before removing the whole lip! Dab a light nude color in the center of your lips and blend outwards. This will give you a lightened up ombre lip that should tone it down.
#2 Dior Lip Glow Oil in Mahogany; 0.2 oz for $35.00
If you're already a fan of bold lips, then go with the Dior Lip Glow Oil in Mahogany. This color is a deep brown with a slightly red/orange tint. The formula is hydrating and will be absorbed into the lips. Going on, you'll get a really high shine that will settle into a satin finish.
EYES #1 Urban Decay - Naked Heat Eyeshadow Palette; 12 x 0.05 oz colors for $54.00
I think this eyeshadow palette was intended to be used for hot summer looks, but it's a fantastic fall palette as well! Plenty of warm reds, oranges, and browns that create tons of looks! I personally am a fan of the color Low Blow, a very spicy rust color, as a one product eye when wearing an all-neutral look.
#2 Tarte - Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette; 12 x 0.05 oz colors for $39.00
For $15 less, the Tartelette Toasted Eyeshadow Palette is another great fall palette option. This is the muted option between the two and offers more traditional shades. The colors are still very warm but have a stronger brown base than the colors in the heat palette.
So whatever the weather outside, you're sure to look and feel beautiful in just a few short minutes. Enjoy the cool, crisp fall air!
